The Show

The Bahamas Charter Yacht Show premiered in January 2023 and attracted an impressive turnout and more than 40 boats in its first ever installment.  The first ever Bahamas Charter Yacht Show (BCYS) was hailed an outstanding success, putting a marker down for the archipelago as a premier yachting destination in the region.

The second annual Bahamas Charter Yacht Show took place January 25-28, 2024 at four leading Nassau/Paradise Island marinas.  In just one year, the show more than doubled in size with more than 80 amazing charter vessels on display and over 130 brokers.

The show brings together charter yachts, yacht brokers and managers, Bahamian marinas, marine and yacht trade companies. It will allow yachts to showcase their vessels and crew to charter brokers and charter managers from around the world. Marinas and resort properties throughout The Bahamas also showcase their attractions, and local companies that cater to and service yachts while in The Bahamas are represented.

Over the last decade, charter yachting has grown in economic importance to The Bahamas, providing millions of dollars in registration fees to the country’s treasury and millions more in terms of direct expenditure. Hundreds of Bahamians are employed as crew members, in vessel upkeep and repair, and in cleaning and detailing services, among others services.

The upcoming third annual show aims to make an even bigger splash in January 2025.  The upcoming show will do more to showcase the beauty and destination options within The Bahamas.
